Measurement Guide Recommendation:
For Runner Carpets (hinged bracket): allow approx.4"(10cm) over carpet width ie.2"(5cm) each side. For Fitted Carpet (front fix bracket): the rod should come in approx.2"(5cm) from the wall. ie. 4"(10cm) less than the overall width of the stair.
