Measurement Guide Recommendation:
For Runner Carpets (hinged bracket): allow approx.4 inch (10cm) over carpet width ie. 2 inch (5cm) each side. For Fitted Carpet (front fix bracket): the rod should come in approx. 2 inch (5cm) from the wall. ie. 4 inch (10cm) less than the overall width of the stair.
